Fluoride application on milk teeth

CVZ has carried out literature research into the question as to whether the professional application of fluoride to children who do not yet have their permanent teeth complies with established scientific and medical practice. The literature study shows that there is no evidence that applying fluoride in order to prevent dental caries in these children who still have their milk teeth can be considered established medical science and medical practice. This
means that this care is not included in the basic package. Insured patients can only be deemed to rely on the professional application of fluoride for the prevention of dental caries after the first element of their permanent teeth has come through.
